Maureen earned her B.A. from Sweet Briar College in Virginia . After her children entered school, she worked at several small CPA firms, received a commendation from the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants for passing the CPA exam on her first sitting, and obtained Masters Degrees in Accounting and Taxation from Bentley College. A member in good standing with the AICPA and MSCPA, Maureen is also a member of the Boston Estate Planning Council and Woman's Business Network.

An Ashland resident, Maureen spends much of her free time at her second home on Martha's Vineyard, where she does volunteer work for various organizations that assist the elderly and the year-round population.
