May 15, 2009 Wayland, MA--- Paresky Flitt & Company, LLP, a certified public accounting firm based in Wayland, announced that it has established an annual scholarship program. The first scholarships will be awarded during 2009.

The Paresky Flitt & Company, LLP Academic Book Scholarship is made available to high school students attending Natick , Framingham and Wayland High Schools . The program is offered to students who plan to pursue a bachelor's degree in business. Eligibility is also based on academic standing, school activities and community service. In announcing the program, Michael Okenquist, CPA and partner said "Advanced education is important to students and to the changing job market. Importantly, the numbers of available certified public accountants are contracting. Our goal with the program is to raise awareness and to encourage students to look toward to building a career in this challenging and rewarding profession."
