Wayland MA, February 3, 2010, an IRS agent visited our office in Wayland and sat down for two hours with Paresky Flitt partner David Lorenzi as part of the IRS' new initiative to reach out to practitioners. David, along with several other CPA's, was randomly chosen for the new program which is designed to share thoughts and ideas regarding common return preparation deficiencies and client interpretations between the IRS and CPA's.

The agent's first comment was how professional the Paresky Flitt website is and how easy it was to navigate.  After a few minutes of discussion she indicated that one of the downfalls of the new IRS program was that by selecting CPA's randomly she sometimes visits firms like ours, who do an excellent job in return preparation.  She said ‘I feel like I am wasting my time coming to firms like this one, you guys obviously do quality work'.  She went on to detail some of the fraud and preparation errors she regularly sees, and how the IRS has worked to put fraudulent CPA's out of business.  She thanked David for volunteering his time and said she wished all firms she visited were like Paresky Flitt & Co., LLP.
