Damien Falato

CPA, MST, CGMA, Tax Director

Damien brings a great deal of depth to the firm in the tax field.  Damien has over fifteen years of public accounting experience, and is licensed as a CPA in MA & NJ.  His extensive experience includes tax planning and preparation, business consulting, trusts and estates, multi-state tax issues, succession, merger and acquisition planning.

Damien is a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants. He earned his B.S. in Accounting from Ramapo College, graduating Cum Laude in 1999 and his Masters in Taxation from Rutgers University in 2004.

Damien is also an instructor at Boston Tax Institute, a Boston based provider of continuing education for CPA’s and attorneys.  He presently teaches a course on the complex tax issues involving 338(h)(10) elections, a method of selling a business’ stock, but having it treated as a sale of assets for tax purposes.

Damien enjoys working with clients in unusual tax situations and finding planning solutions to minimize their tax burden.  “The legislature drafts opportunities to save tax dollars into the law to encourage taxpayers to act in a certain manner.  My role, as my client’s advisor, is to keep my client abreast of how to take advantage of those opportunities.”

An outdoorsman and amateur woodworker, Damien enjoys a variety of hobbies at his home in Littleton where he resides with his wife Cris.
